1-/16 Inch Pewter St. Michael Shield Medal, Patron Saint of Police Officers

1-3/16 x 15/16 inch satin finish pewter St. Michael, Patron of Police Officers and Our Military Forces shield medal on a 24 inch stainless steel rhodium plated chain. The front of the medal has a stamped image of St. Michael with the words "Saint Michael Protect Us". St. Michael is shown slaying Satan, who is depicted as a dragon. The back of the medal is blank with a brushed finish. Includes an elegant patriotic American flag card (jewelry attached).

Saint Michael is referred to as a saint, but moreover, he is an Archangel, and is the leader of all angels and the army of God. He has four main responsibilities: to combat Satan, to escort the faithful to heaven at the hour of their death, to be a champion of all Christians and the Church, and to call men from their life on Earth to their heavenly judgement. As he is the leader of heaven's armies, he is also the Patron Saint of Police and Our Military Forces.
