1/2 Inch 14KT Gold Round St. Jude Medal, Patron Saint of Hopeless Causes and Desperation

1/2 inch polished and satin finish 14kt gold St. Jude medal. The medal is round and features a raised depiction of St. Jude in the center, who is shown holding a staff and a scroll with a halo of light behind his head. Around the outer edge of the pendant in a polished finish gold border are the words, "St. Jude Thaddeus Pray For Us". The back of the medal is blank with a polished finish (photograph of the back of medal will be added in the future) and can be personalized with two lines of text.

Saint Jude Thaddeus was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus. He is often depicted in icons with a flame around his head, which represents his presence at the Pentecost, when he received the Holy Spirit with the other apostles. He is also shown holding an image of Jesus Christ, known as the Image of Edessa, which was a holy relic of cloth upon which a miraculous image of Jesus' face was imprinted. Known for preaching the gospel in particularly difficult circumstances, he is the Patron Saint of Hopeless Causes and Desperation.
